monday things

So I missed my friday things, but I had a full weekend with a longtime friend who came to visit from Los Angeles (we've been friends since high school).

On Saturday we visited Young Blood Gallery and Highland Row Antiques.  In the same shopping center, Young Blood had goods from local and national emerging artists, designers, and crafters.  In the back of Young Blood is the gallery exhibiting Patricia Patterson through end of July.

Next up was Highland Row Antiques.  Great stuff and great prices.  Below are some of the finds, I walked out with a vintage Halston clutch and a small nut bowl.

chrome and glass sawtable desk

$120

midcentury sofa

vintage repro tulip table

love the black and yellow

cute floral garden table

Milo Baughman side table

this was already sold!

the real deal $425

brass & marble lamp (needs shade)

Sunday we started at Ria's Bluebird and then headed over to Garden*Hood to plant some shoes, yep shoes.

The shoes were for a performance PLOT by Dance Truck.

Later that evening we headed to Serenbe for a drive-in movie "GROW" about young Georgia farmers.  It was a perfect night, the night air was cool and smelled absolutely delicious.  Plus we had a slice of the-best-chocolate-cake-ever.  If you don't try the chocolate cake from the Blue Eyed Daisy you are doing yourself an injustice.

  1. Very fine day for an Atlanta July. Young Blood is party HQ during the Ponce Crush. The August Crush features a Beep Beep party at the Highland Inn Ballroom after the stroll.
